Q. When is check-in and check-out? Can we get a late check-out?
A. Check in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Provided there are no other renters checking-in the same day, we will usually allow a late check-out. However, it is not something we can confirm until a week or two before your arrival. Late check-out and early check-in must be prearranged so the cleaners can be coordinated.
Q. Can we extend our stay?
A. In the summer we rent from Friday to Friday. By extending your stay one extra day, it would block out the next week on the calendar. However, if nobody has reserved the house we are more than happy to extend the stay.
Q. Do you rent for Weddings?
A. Although we have no objection to weddings, please keep in mind the house only has parking for 7-8 cars, and the closest parking lot is a quarter mile away. We also have a limit on the number of guests that can be inside the house at any given time.
Q. How old do you have to be to rent?
A. You must be at least 25.
Q. Is there anywhere to setup a pack-n-play (portable crib)?
A. Yes. With over 3,500 square feet there are plenty of safe places for a pack-n-play. Every bedroom has ample room. Our family does bring a baby monitor for nap time because the house is so large.
Q. Do you have an elevator?
A. Yes. The elevator does not go up to the Crow’s Nest. Please call if you need the code to unlock the elevator.
Q. What if there is a hurricane?
A. You will be fully refunded if the house is in an Emergency Evacuation zone.
Q. What is provided with the house?
A. Sheets, quilts/blankets, 20 towels, 20 wash clothes, soft soap for the bathroom sink, toilet paper (3 rolls per bathroom), hair dryers, paper towel (1 roll), sponge, dishwasher pods, dish soap, dishes, utensils, pots and pans, crock pot, 12 cup drip coffee maker and 12 beach towels. There is a gas BBQ located on the ground level. A washer and dryer is provided, but please do not wash sandy clothes or towels. A first aid kit is available, but please let us know if you use any of the supplies so we can refill it.

Q. Which couch is the fold out couch?
A. There are two fold out couches. A tan sofa in the living room and dark brown sofa in the game room. Both open up to make queen beds. Linens can be found in the set of drawers under the spiral stair case.
There is also a futon in the crow’s nest. Linens can be found in the hamper in the crow’s nest.
Q. Is there a thermostat in the house we can control?
A. Yes. There is a thermostat on the 2nd (bedroom) floor and one on the 3rd (living room) floor. Both units were replaced recently (2015 & 2016). Thermostats cannot be set lower than 68F.
Q. Can we smoke?
A. There is a designated area on the third floor patio with an ash tray attached to the railing. Please stay away from open doors and windows. You may also smoke on the ground floor provided you dispose properly of your butts. No smoking in the garage.
Q. Do you accept tax exemptions?

Taxes are 15% federal, 6% state and 9% local.
Q. How far are you from the seawall.
A. We are four miles from the end of the seawall. There are no lights between our home and the seawall and the speed limit ranges from 45-55 MPH. You get there is approximately 5-6 minutes.
Q. Are there any restaurants nearby? Can you get pizza delivered?
A. The closest restaurant is Cafe Michael Burgers. They were ranked the #23 in “The Top 50 Burgers in Texas”. Their menu can be found here: http://www.cafemichaelburger.com/
Mario’s Pizza delivers, but we usually just drive over. It’s less than a mile drive. You can also order online here: http://www.marioswest.com/

Q. Are there a lot of mosquitoes?
A. So far we have been lucky, probably due to the wind. However this is Texas, so we always keep bug spray handy.
